transducer selection

Hi, Have a new furuno tz touch 3, fishing east coast-long island ny . mostly bottom fishing / searching new areas to find structure while underway. looking to purchase a transducer , depths usually less than 200 ft. mostly around 20-100 feet. any recommendations for a transducer? had a B60 in the past did very well, would like chirp? would the increase in sensitivity of a 1k transducer be worth the increase in price point? plan on a side scan in the near future as well, would like to buy once and do it right. would the furuno 3d be the way togo? another option?

At that depth, no need for 1kw. 1kw would just add to the cost and install challenges. B60 offers a lot a bang for the buck and Wide beam CHIRP will offer larger water coverage and better target definition. It would be interesting to hear what some of the other forum users think. I would think a B75HW (or SS75HW depending on hull).

I’m fishing the same depths and I’m thinking about going with the B75HW.

Buy one and let me know how you like it.

Not sure it is even compatible with furuno yet.
