Rdp-149 card slot/ sd card problem.

I have a vx2 RDP 149 with C-map installed. running 195002480.01.07 C-Map NT- sd card . . when I do a system test without card in slot I get "card slot-NG (create). when I insert my M-NA-mo21.20 MWm* circa 2010 card, the machine becomes "locked and non responsive"?
any suggestions?

I recommend getting a 2GB (or less) SD card and test your card reader to see if you can save your settings and waypoints to a known good memory card. This will tell you if the machine has a card reader issue or if you have a bad map card.

Johnny is right when he suggests to try another SD card.

When there is no card in the VX2 it will give you the message "Card slot-NG (create)" by design. The only way to know for sure if it is the card or the reader is to try the reader with a card that is known to be good. If the card is for sure good and the unit still locks up, then it is the reader, and the unit should go in to the Furuno service center. Otherwise the issue is due to the chart card being bad or corrupted.
