Fcv 1150 screen replacement/ led upgrade

I purchased a used fcv1150 and noticed a yellow tinge around the edge of the screen. I’ve heard there’s certain models that require board replacement along with new screen and the cost of repair exceeds the price of a new unit.

The unit is a 2015 April release as far as I know and hoping someone here may be in the know if this is correct information and if my model would be a simple lcd change out with led upgrade or if I would in fact be up for a new board….

The units with the new LCD screen are serial numbers 2256-6283 and higher. The old LCDs are no longer available. Unfortunately, in this case the new mainboard and the new LCD screen plus labor would cost more that a whole new unit.
What other electronics are on the boat? If you have a NavNet 3D or NavNet TZT9/14/BB then you could network and use the Navnet screen to view the sounder.
