DRS4D nxt power supply

I read this note on the Furuno site:

"PSU017 is required for the DRS4D when used with all NavNet TZtouch, TZtouch2 and TZtouch3 MFD’s" (located on this page: https://furunousa.com/en/support/TZT12F)

This appears to apply to the DRS4D NXT.

I originally understood (or misunderstood as the case may be) that the DRS4D NXT dome could connect directly to shipboard 12v.

Is that not the case?

Hello Patch,

PSU017 is required with a DRS4D (older dome) when used with TZT1/TZT2/TZT3 because it requires 48V. The DRS4D-NXT does not need a PSU017 because it's compatible with 12-24VDC.
