711C Remote Standby Switch

On my 711c connected to my TZTouch 2, I would like to wire in a pushbutton that will take the autopilot out of navigate mode and put it in standby. (stop trying to steer). In looking at the manual, it seems to have this ability on page 7-28 port 1 (or port 2?). It seems also to be mentioned on page 5 under "Warning".

What I'm looking for is where to connect the remote button. In looking at the schematic, would it be #2 and #3 on "General In" (or #5 and #6?)

It would it be #2 and #3 on "General In" then setup your software setup for Universal Port, In Port1 for "Go to Stby". You would need a momentary button/switch.
